Target Problem – Poor quality of foreign languages like English taught to students in schools. Target Group - Children aged 4-6 years old in an underprivileged community. Project Title – English for the Disadvantaged Young. (EDY)
Goals:
To teach the Alphabet.
To teach words according to each letter in the alphabet like A for Apple, B for Bee, and E for Elephant etc.
To teach basic art skills, and how to draw some simple pictures such as a flower.
Obstacles:
How long it takes each student to grasp the concept.
The learning techniques – may help some students but can confuse others.
Class behavior - shouting, noisy etc.
Class rules – their expectations can be different from mine.
Difficulty in memorizing, pronouncing and writing.
Tasks:
I went over the letters as much as the students needed. (I wrote them, said them)
I rewarded the students when they got the right answer in order to encourage them.
I varied my learning techniques to satisfy each student and their needs.
