Specific
My goals are to introduce more people to the Free German Clinic in order for them to have a steady stream of volunteers; as well as to begin working with patients in the medical examination room.

Measurable
I will know that I have achieved my goal when there is at least one volunteer at the clinic every weekend of the year. We will know that people are going by keeping in contact with the sisters and by going to the clinic with the newly recruited volunteers. The second goal is obvious because I will know that it has been achieved when the sisters trust us to work with them and assist them in with the wound, as well as the eye and ear patients.

Achievable
Introducing more people to this clinic and providing the nurses with extra volunteers is definitely something I would love to do. This is because not only do the sisters really appreciate it, but it is truly a purifying experience in which I learn and grow each time. It will be challenging because most people are not willing to wake up early on weekends and dedicate that much time to service. We would also have to contact people and ensure that every weekend there is a volunteer going, we might even have to develop a schedule; however, I think that with effort it can be accomplished. For the second goal, I would really like to start personally assisting the nurses because when we first went that was what they were really looking for. This will definitely be challenging for me because I get dizzy looking at blood.

Realistic
I think that these goals are within my capability, resources and authority because they mainly consist of our own personal drive, will power, determination and consistency. These two goals do not require resources and do not call for a certain level of authority. I feel like I would be capable to call upon people to join this cause. However, I feel like the second goal may be a little beyond my capabilities because of my inability to deal with medical situations. An obstacle would be that they would need to train us a little first; and also, I would have to learn to look at wounds to be able to treat them.

Timely
My goal is timely because I plan on achieving this by the end of the first semester of the next school year; this gives me a year to complete it. Initially I had set this goal for the end of this school year; however, we have introduced the clinic to several people, but cannot maintain a consistent flow of volunteers. Also, the summer will allow me time gain basic first aid training to assist the nurses at the beginning of next year.

LONG TERM GOAL
In the long term I plan to provide more to the clinic than just volunteer work. Although it is not completely finalized, I have developed a plan to have continuous fund raising events throughout the year in order to raise a lot of money for the clinic to buy medicine and equipments as these are expensive and the clinic does not really make money. The types of fund raising activities will not be simple bake sales and such, but rather, full scale charity events in order to raise a large sum of money. My first idea for a charity event is a singing competition to take place at CAC. This singing competition will be like an x-factor. The competitors will have to pay a fee to enter the competition. There will be judges as well as an audience that votes. The competition will start with about 24 contestants and will last for 3 or 4 weeks; each week there will be eliminations. Tickets will be sold for each performance; and upon entry the audience will receive a voting card so that they can vote for the singers that they want to see progress. I think that this would be highly successful because we have a lot of talent at CAC that is supported greatly by the community. Other ideas include a fashion show and some simple social events. The money will be collected and given to Sister Petra.
