Specific Our goal is clear, specific, and focused as we are focusing on educating a group of children at Fakroon Nursery. Our intentions in doing so are to teach in areas including subjects such as English and mathematics, as well as teaching them to hold regular English conversations with one another.
Measurable We will know when we have achieved our goal through regular in-class assessments that we will give to the students, as well as by observing each student's improvement from where they started. When we have achieved our goal, our students should be able to solve math problems appropriate to their age level, read short sentences, communicate (basically) with one another, and have the English alphabet memorized.
Achievable Yes, teaching children is definitely something that I am interested in doing. Although I believe it will be challenging in the beginning with the students of different age groups and levels we have, I strongly believe that we will accomplish our goal from which the students will benefit greatly.
Realistic Yes, I believe our goal is realistic and that it is in our capability, resources, and authority. I believe this as we have a supervisor from the nursery that constitutes as authority, and a classroom with a board, tables, and chairs. The nursery however lacked some supplies such as pens, pencils, and notebooks, which we were able to supply them with.
Timely Yes, we have set specific times as guidelines. We would like to have our goals met by the end of the academic school year, by our last class before we began writing our portfolios.
