I havn't been to the clinic in a long time! Ive been so busy with work and projects and everything in the last quarter of

sophomore year; but im happy that i finally found the time to go back. Going on Saturdays had become part of my weekly routine and so breaking that felt kind of weird. When I went to the clinic today, I instantly noticed how far along they have

come with renovations. The clinic had recently received a donation from an anonymous source; the sisters informed me that they would be using the money to renovate and fix up the place. Abir and I were ecstatic about this news, yet a little true because from what we can tell so far, the clinic is going to look fantastic. They have finished renovating the doctors room and 2 other room, and they are currently working on the medical examination area. The small table space in which Abir and I usually do our work was occupied and so Sister Petra told us that we would do our work outside today, in a bit disappointed because we had planned to make a long term plan to raise money and fix the clinic up ourselves. The donation was a much better option though because the renovations would be much more professional. Our prediction was little wooden gazeebo near the classrooms. I didn't mind this alternative option at all because the fresh air prevented me from getting the dizzy spells i usually felt in the tight room. We were at the clinic from 7 in the morning and we were given the task of unwrapping rolls of gauze from their protective sheet and organizing them in boxes so that they can be sterilized. Abir and I developed a system in which one of us would use scissors to slit the package and then the other would peel the wrapper off and place the gauze in the box. We were given a stack of about 10 big bags, filled with about 60 rolls each. We worked continuosly for 5 hours with no break and the sisters would occasionally come outside to chat with us and check up on us. Before we left that day, we took pictures with the sisters and of the renovations and the doctor, as well as the patients- who were very happy to pose for the camera. I plan to continue going to clinic in summer and work on the goal to raise money for medicine and equipment.
