Smart Goals

  • Specific: We want to educate these kids to be able to speak conversational English and be at an appropriate Math level for their age by the end of this year.

  • Measurable: When the children are able to calculate rather complicated math problems for their age such as 87-13+56X1000/10, and when they can hold a short conversation in English and are able to read words and know the alphabet we will know that we have reached our goals.

  • Achievable: I believe this is a very achievable goal as we as teachers are fluent in the English language and are good mathematicians it would be something we can learn to teach quickly. It can get really rough however it will truly benefit the kids to learn these essentials.

  • Realistic: Our goal is realistic. We have a head teacher (though she does not teach she watches over (authority), we have a reasonable classroom, which gives a good learning environment. The only issue we had was supplies and we did supply the children with pens/pencils and notebooks as well as name cards.

  • Timely: What we wanted was to have our goals be met by the end of the year and we have thank fully accomplished them.
