My goal is SMART because it is Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timely.

Specific – My goals are to build trust with the girls, support them in their education of english and math and develop their life skills.

Measurable- I will know that I have achieved my goals once the kids start being comfortable around me, responding and conversing with me. Also, once the children are responding and progressing. More importantly, i will know that my goals have been achieved once the girls can independently solve math problems, complete reading comprehension, and communicate with the group in english.

Achievable- This is really exciting for me and it is something that I am really dedicated to and want to accomplish. It might be challenging sometimes when it comes to getting the kids' attention, but I am sure I can overcome the obstacles and overtime they will consider me as one of their teachers/ friends.

Realistic- My goals are within my capability because I have educated myself about sensitivity issues and how to The biggest "sacrifice" I have to make is my time but to me it is not time wasted! I realize that the children won't respond right away but overtime hopefully progress would have been made. They have progressed a lot over the past two years and hopefully next year i can reflect on three years of service.

Timely- My goal is timely because my group and I plan on achieving this goal by the end of the year. We have been supporting the girls for the past two years so the project will continue next year as well. Any progress is great, as long as they're having a good time and learning.
